Looking Back A Few Months Ago

It is recommended but fitting to make a recap of how life has been through in the year 2011 for me! This is a question of “Am I able to fulfill my 2011 New Year’s Resolution?” or “Was I able to make my wishes come true?” or “Have I changed for the better?” Well, I certainly don’t believe in resolutions. A lot of these questions may run straight to your hypothalamus the same as I do. Just like any normal person, I would like to evaluate how my year 2011 was and if there are any areas I need to improve on or perhaps, leave behind and face new beginnings, then, let me try to be “detailed” about the events.

Unfortunately, I left my 2011 organizer so I don’t have any cheat sheets to look.  But I will try my best to refresh my memories as far as I could. I’m typing this in the middle of a cold yuletide breezy night with an unstoppable rain from the outside. Wondering how this will go. Here it is:

My Special Day

I went back home to celebrate my birthday with relatives and family. Though in those times, I never thought much about you yet till in the middle of the night, when I was asleep, my phone rang. I managed to answer the call but I hear no one. So I put it back down and thought I was just dreaming. But, I’m sure I wasn’t when my phone rang for the second time, continuously, so I hurriedly answered it while I’m in my drowsy mood. To my surprise, I heard a familiar voice but I can’t determine who. For who will be awake at 12 mid to call me?! Then I heard a voice on the line, a birthday greeting! Like I’m caught in surprise and still trying to recognize the voice and then you said your name! Wow! I felt so happy that someone remembered me to call on my special day at exactly 12 midnight! All I can say is “thank you and appreciate it”. Though we spent talking like a few minutes on the line, but you were miles away from me, like overseas! I can’t imagine why you took the effort of calling me but let me think that as a special greeting. First month

I found the first month of the year very enticing. LOL. Yeah, you told me to start the year with a bang! Yes, I did! Because you’re like the firecracker that keeps my days sparkling every time I see you.

I can’t forget the breaks and lunches we had together. The small chichats while munching our food. That’s the first time I realized that there’s something’s unique in you. And I felt so sorry to hear that you’re definitely allergic to flour! And that the reaction that it may cause you would even take your breath out forever. I don’t want to happen that to you (if ever, forever is ours). That means, all your birthdays are celebrated without cakes, pastas, pizzas, noodles, cookies and pastries. I can’t imagine how could I surprise you with those forbidden food on your very special day? Am thinking of a vegan party for yah! Hmmm… I will try to be your queer chef that time! Hope you don’t get poisoned! LOL! But I know how you crave for these forbidden foods. You even dared to bite a portion of a sweet pastry bar where I challenged you to eat. Queer meets Nick of filipinovoices.com

November 22, 2008- The Obnoxious Queer supports the “coming out” of Nick of filipinovoices.com in the open to uphold his valuable mission for the Filipino masses of being heard in terms of the current situation of the Philippines. Nope, he is not running as a political candidate nor he supports a particular politician in its governmental advocacy. He wants to extend his personal belief with the help of his arm contributors in the different fields of work thru the internet to bring a balance view on how the government system is run in the country particularly the provinces outside Metro Manila more specifically in the Visayas and Mindanao regions.

DigitalFilipino Club Networking Event in Cebu and the Cebu Bloggers (Oct. 23, 2008)

Let’s call it, a night! Yeah, still fresh from the digitalfilipino club networking event that I attended in Teatro Casino of the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City. The event was sponsored by the extravagant PAGCOR. Yippee! Thanks a lot especially for the freebies! More to expect? Looking forward to it, guys!
