CBS in CBTL with Sen. Mar Roxas

June 11, 2009- I’m not really into politics but it’s good to peek sometimes to what’s happening in the world of Philippine government. I just find politics not a pleasing topic for me. But let me share my viewpoints just for this time.

I’ve met Senator Mar Roxas face-to-face when we had some casual discussions in Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in IT Park, Lahug with my fellow Cebu Bloggers (CBS). The meet-up was made possible with our fellow blogger, Kevin, who is a number one supporter of the senator. We all know that Roxas is running this 2010 presidential election. An hour of coffee talk with him may not be enough but at least we get the chance to ask him some questions. During the conversations, I managed to take notes and let me share them to you.

Summer Experience: Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort

May 16, 2009- This final day has come! We had our warm summer experience and fun at Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort. Cebu bloggers got their splash of summer heat savoring the resort’s classy accommodations for FREE. It was a superb complimenting resort venture for all of us.

If you would like to feel and experience a first-class indulgence while relaxing and enjoying the resort’s amenities, buffet meals and spa accommodations, I recommend Maribago Bluewater Beach resort for you.

We had the perfect VIP treatment even from the start. At around 4 pm, we had the resort’s transportation vans picked us up at SM City Cebu Northwing where the resort had a designated tourist pick up area. It is a 30-minute or less drive from the mall to the resort. As we arrived, the resort’s warm staffs gave us welcome refreshments (calamansi juice) and our sea-shell necklaces in the reception area. CBS on MagTV!

November 06, 2008- ABS-CBN CEBU’s local lifestyle Sunday show, MagTV was chasing the Cebu Bloggers Society to be part of their program’s segment about BLOGGING. Five of the members (Kevin, Rodel, Jerry, Clarence) of the group including yours truly, ahem, OQ, graciously represented in front of the camera while Erwin Lim (the host) was mesmerized on how one could earn thru blogging and how it affects the young Cebuanos and its potential to influence the consensus of the masses. Notably, Rodel confessed how he earned much while getting serious in wasting his company’s facilities! (Kidding, LOL). The interview-set transpired in Figaro Coffee Company’s (where CBS usually hang-out) canopy area in the Walk, IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City. More photos here.

Obama is the 44th President of USA

November 5, 2008- The Cebu Bloggers Society members were invited to join the US Election Watch 2008 sponsored by the US Embassy in the Philippines at SM City Cebu’s Northwing Atrium around 9 am to 2 pm. A number of bloggers were present to witness the historical and most hi-tech election ever in the United States of America. It’s definitely a date to note!

Cebu Bloggers in DYAB

November 2, 2008- The Cebu Bloggers Society members were invited as guests by Jun Tariman of DYAB-Cebu in his tech segment program to discuss the basics of BLOGGING and how it evolved! It is a 30-minute segment given to the bloggers (3:00-3:30 pm). Yay! Thanks for this publicity! Other topics mentioned out of the blue are tips on Search Engine Optimization (SEO), how to start Blogging for interested folks, earning money thru it (adsense) and promoting Cebu Bloggers Society in the airwaves! BTW, we are also on Live Webcast that time! Our spokeperson heading the group is Kevin and the supporting actors are Clarence, Empress, Sinjin, Zenia and definitely, the gorgeous X!

DigitalFilipino Club Networking Event in Cebu and the Cebu Bloggers (Oct. 23, 2008)

Let’s call it, a night! Yeah, still fresh from the digitalfilipino club networking event that I attended in Teatro Casino of the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City.
