George Canseco was a prolific composer, lyricist, songwriter – one of the greatest the music industry has ever produced. He started writing songs when he was 20 and had written about 300 songs, some of these movie themes and ballads that are now considered OPM classics. Canseco’s music career spanned almost four decades and his compositions were interpreted by the country’s top recording artists like Basil Valdez, Kuh Ledesma, Sharon Cuneta, Regine Velasquez, Pilita Corrales, Dulce, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Leah Navarro, Martin Nievera among other top singers. Experiencing the Luster in Cebu

JEWELMER’S Luster for Life: A pearl exhibit opened in Ayala Center Cebu last July 23. Located at the Rotunda, 1^st Level Activity Center of the popular shopping destination, this modular exhibition is a visual tour of the golden South Sea pearl’s journey from farm to fine jewelry and is part of the company calls the “Jewelmer Experience”.

“The Jewelmer Experience engages the senses. It’s everything from the color of our showrooms, the interaction of clients with our people, our imagery, and philosophy. All of these are but a small part of the whole Experience. Its quite difficult to explain,” says Jewelmer’s Retail Manager Catrina Paulino, “it really should be experienced to be fully appreciated.” Paulino goes on, “The Luster for Life exhibit, in particular, shares our brand values in a visual and engaging way.”

First launched in the Marquee mall at Pampanga, the exhibition has since made its way to Glorietta 4 in Makati City before landing in Cebu and will continue making its rounds in premier shopping destinations in the Philippines within the year. “ The Jewelmer showroom in Cebu opened back in 1994. However, this is the first time we brought an exhibit here,” says Paulino.

The Luster for Life exhibit is composed of six main panels: Palawan South Sea pearls, Luster for Life, The Miracle of the Rare Golden Pearl, European Elegance, An Environmental Gem, and A Nation’s Pride Each segment features a combination of vivid imagery and descriptive text. Also included in the exhibit are the actual tools used for pearl cultivation, a pearl diorama, and some unique pieces that are part of Jewelmer’s fine jewelry collections.

My V-day

 November 3, 2008- I paid all my bills this day at SM City Cebu! Thereafter, I went to Ayala Center Cebu to pay my globelines bill. I like peronal transactions regarding payments this time! I impulsively bought that Violet Corz bag! It was on sale and the price was worth a buy! I’m not displaying the tag. Go, figure it out!

Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu

Ayala Center Cebu (ACC) had its soft opening of the new dining place which they call “the Terraces” last Oct. 30, 2008. It’s a P600-M redevelopment project of ACC’s Ayala Lagoon of more than 8,000 square meters. I have personally witnessed its grandeur beauty at night! Perfect for camshots! This is another urban lifestyle nook and eating haven for Cebuanos and tourists that may visit the mall. More detailed info here. I’m gladly sharing these photos to you!
