How To Make Your Christmas Meaningful?
Cebuano volunteerism as a gift this Christmas season
What is the best way to celebrate Christmas?
For some people like Ency Encinares, a volunteer deaf mute teacher, and Venerva Amil, a teacher for the Bajau community in Barangay Alaska Mambaling, Cebu City, volunteering for a cause is the best form of a gift this yuletide season.
They both define volunteerism as serving without something in return, as long as the one doing it happy with what he or she is doing doing. They also associate volunteerism as saying the truth, letting the people know that one is sincere with his or her voluntary service.
Encinares and Amil were guests during the “Pagtuki” episode last Dec. 3 when the topic was on the state of the Cebuano volunteerism. Pagtuki is the weekly radio program of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) aired every Saturday morning over dyLA. Read more…

Episode 11: Thank You!
Is this thanksgiving day? LOL. I’m thanking a lot of people for sharing all their support in listening to my podcast. It means a lot to me. The kind words, good comments are like warm embraces. It’s really overwhelming and it makes me feel good as a person that I have made someone’s day bright! Whew! Great support my friends!
Thank you so much to our SPONSORS and DONORS for our upcoming iLearners Inc. Outreach Activity this Sunday. Great job to Drakey, our president for all the efforts and other friends who does all the legwork in getting sponsorships and donations. That is really heart-warming. More power to us!

Lunas Elementary School Outreach Program
On the game, the boat is sinking
December 14, 2008- This is the 2nd day that I’m active with my charitable works of mercy and gift giving. My first for this month is with the Asilo dela Milagrosa kids (an outreach sponsored by my Alumni Association). We had our outreach program at LUNAS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, CARCAR CEBU. Thanks to iLearn Foundation (http://ilearnfoundation.multiply.com/) for this opportunity that we were able to share our blessings to those who deserve it. It was in deed my first as well to experience doing the outreach at night! That adds excitement and we are fortunate that the mass is celebrated when we arrived. Perfect timing indeed for the local Eucharistic celebration (in bisaya version).
