Google News: The New Google CEO is Larry Page

You now know in Google News that Larry Page will be the new GOOGLE CEO replacing his co-founder, Eric Schmidt. This is announced in the company’s earning report! Eric Schmidt will step down this April 4, 2011.

It is said that Google CEO, Larry Page will handle Google’s day-to-day operations as CEO. And his other Co-founder, Sergey Brin will devote his time to some strategic projects and doing research and development of new products.

Of course, Mr. Eric Schmidt will act as the new Google Executive Chairman, focusing externally on deals, partnerships, customers and broader business relationships, government outreach and technology thought leadership–all of which are increasingly important given Google’s global reach. He will definitely serve as an advisor to his co-founders, Larry and Sergey.
