Episode 13: Mixed Nuts In A Row

Since it’s been raining lately, I decided to do a podcast and thanks to my friend, Bryan for the encouragement to make use of my IDLE time while waiting for my internet connection to get back!

If you might have noticed, uploading of this podcast is delayed as my internet wasn’t as good as I’m expecting it the next day around.

Well, I’ve shared some insights on how to start with your financial planning for this year. At least, based on my experience and of course, I know what I’m in to!

To all my readers and listeners, PIT SENYOR to all of you!

Hoping for a peaceful and sunny Sinulog 2012!

Looking Back A Few Months Ago

It is recommended but fitting to make a recap of how life has been through in the year 2011 for me! This is a question of “Am I able to fulfill my 2011 New Year’s Resolution?” or “Was I able to make my wishes come true?” or “Have I changed for the better?” Well, I certainly don’t believe in resolutions. A lot of these questions may run straight to your hypothalamus the same as I do. Just like any normal person, I would like to evaluate how my year 2011 was and if there are any areas I need to improve on or perhaps, leave behind and face new beginnings, then, let me try to be “detailed” about the events.

Unfortunately, I left my 2011 organizer so I don’t have any cheat sheets to look.  But I will try my best to refresh my memories as far as I could. I’m typing this in the middle of a cold yuletide breezy night with an unstoppable rain from the outside. Wondering how this will go. Here it is:

How To Make Your Christmas Meaningful?

Cebuano volunteerism as a gift this Christmas season

What is the best way to celebrate Christmas?

For some people like Ency Encinares, a volunteer deaf mute teacher, and Venerva Amil, a teacher for the Bajau community in Barangay Alaska Mambaling, Cebu City, volunteering for a cause is the best form of a gift this yuletide season.

They both define volunteerism as serving without something in return, as long as the one doing it happy with what he or she is doing doing. They also associate volunteerism as saying the truth, letting the people know that one is sincere with his or her voluntary service.

Encinares and Amil were guests during the “Pagtuki” episode last Dec. 3 when the topic was on the state of the Cebuano volunteerism. Pagtuki is the weekly radio program of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) aired every Saturday morning over dyLA. Read more…

Sony Ericsson For Your Christmas Wishlist?

I’m not a tech savvy lad nor I am not the type of person who do join the bandwagon of having all the latest gadgets in life. I’m seriously the one who checks the value of a thing and it’s importance according to the kind of lifestyle I have. No offense to my friends and other cyberpals out there. I respect your needs and wants in life, but, hope you will understand my side. :)

But I have a good treat for you! Of course, it’s Christmas time! Might help you with your wishlist or Christmas bliss shopping!

I recently attended a special dinner party courtesy of Sony Ericsson as they introduced their new line of products in their XPERIA and some ANDROID-ready phones to launch this season of Christmas! Well, you might really be interested with what they have to offer especially that they have made a great deal for its buyers in giving them a good surprise if you get yourself or your love one, a new unit of their new smartphones. Rescue A Hero: Corrupt Honest Awake Album Launching

I recently met this Cebuano-based indie rock band known as Rescue A Hero! Their songs got a hint of jazz, blues, hip hop and noise! The group is composed of 4 friends who met and formed the band in mid 2007. They will be releasing their very 1st album this November 26, 2011! Let’s support local bands in helping them achieve their dreams!

What’s different on this band among others? They have recorded their songs in their own bedrooms with the DIY (Do It Yourself) or die mantra. Their music can be downloaded for FREE and can be found on their website: http://rescueahero.com. Why don’t you check it now? Read more…
