Scammed by an Online Recruiter

The Job

On November 20, 2009, a certain craigslist.org job recruiter named “Prince” hired 5 to 7 successful applicants for a homebased job (virtual assistant).

The first task assigned is to do outbound calls in US for 2 campaign projects set by “Prince”. However, this is a commission-based project. Any successful sale/lead generation, the agent gets to receive his/her share of $20 as commission. This runs for a week. Time of call is 2 AM to 10 AM. No basic salary guaranteed from Prince. At this time, we are promised for a contract after a week trial of taking in calls. So far, none of us was able to make a successful sale or lead generation according to Prince. It’s ok, it’s commission-based, no basic salary paid. It’s just a trial, it’s acceptable that time. Read more…

Miss World 2009 is form Gibraltar!

Gibraltar’s Kaiane Aldorino has been crowned Miss World 2009, outshining 111 other hopefuls at a glittering ceremony with a distinctly African flavour.

“Thank you South Africa, this is the most wonderful moment of my life,” said a tearful Ms Aldorino, a 22-year-old human resources clerk.

Confetti rained down on the stage as the beauty from the tiny British territory of fewer than 30,000 people accepted the crown in South Africa.

Mexico’s Perla Beltran was second, with South African entry Tatum Keshwar taking third place.
