May 16, 2009- This final day has come! We had our warm summer experience and fun at Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort. Cebu bloggers got their splash of summer heat savoring the resort’s classy accommodations for FREE. It was a superb complimenting resort venture for all of us.

If you would like to feel and experience a first-class indulgence while relaxing and enjoying the resort’s amenities, buffet meals and spa accommodations, I recommend Maribago Bluewater Beach resort for you.

1-van

We had the perfect VIP treatment even from the start. At around 4 pm, we had the resort’s transportation vans picked us up at SM City Cebu Northwing where the resort had a designated tourist pick up area. It is a 30-minute or less drive from the mall to the resort. As we arrived, the resort’s warm staffs gave us welcome refreshments (calamansi juice) and our sea-shell necklaces in the reception area. We felt like eminent guests and that is very important for every tourists.

There after, we had our ocular tour of the resort courtesy of Ms. Noreen Yuson, the Guest Relations Representative who is very pleasing to us. We first explored their AMUMA Spa! AMUMA is a Visayan word that means “to care, spoil, pamper, comfort”. Their “hilot” or massage package is done by well-experienced local masseurs or masseuses. The massage is an incorporation of the traditional Filipino massages which is relaxing and soothing that is also the signature massage the resort is known for. You have the option to get massage service at the Hilot Pavilion or in your exclusive room.

We get the chance to see the rooms and it’s refined but with sophisticated interiors. The design is very Filipino in nature. They purposely set a no wifi access in the rooms so that guests would really set the dimensions of relaxation and comfort. Wifi access is available at the AMUMA Spa reception area only. Of course, we have to at least set a barrier of work and self indulgence sometimes.

hey also have the Tai-Chi pavilion where you can meditate or do Yoga or perhaps learn the basics of Arnis or enrich you gentle movements through their Tai-chi class.

1-pool

The resort got swimming pools for kids and adults to lavish in. They also had Marine lagoons where you could feed those black tip reef sharks and various fishes. And we also got a peek of the Alegrado Island which is a 1.1- hectare of white sand island where you can choose to have your birthday parties, family reunions, private wedding rites, corporate festivity/outings, etc.

By 5 pm, we get to meet the resort’s management; the General Manager, Rhyz Buac along with Vice President, Delia Cespon and the rest others. We are grateful for the pica-pica snacks been prepared for us.

We had a short open forum with regards to the resort’s Eco-social responsibility, the resort’s history and business expansion, unique accommodations, tourism promotion and etc. Shortly, we are given an hour to bathe the bluewaters, dip into the pool, getting prolific with the beach and a time for chit-chats with fellow bloggers. Of course, camwhoring sessions will never be out!

After an hour, by 7 pm, we had our dinner buffet, “Barrio Fiesta” theme. It’s an all-Filipino menu banquet! It will never be called with that theme without the famous, Cebu lechon (roasted pig). I also liked their Bicol express (it’s chilly and spicy with coconut milk menu).

With the Filipino-touch, there were 3 string musicians to serenade and set the mood of the guests while they dine. There’s a showcase of some Filipino Folk and Ethnic dances. The opening salvo was an ethnic dance famous from the Ifugao tribes. Audience got to participate on the basics of our National dance, the TINIKLING. This is just one of the themed dinners the resort has to offer aside from their Luau theme (Hawaiian inspired) dinners.

We went home around 8 pm courtesy with the resort’s transpo-vans. We just had our sumptuous meal, a never-to-forget experience we had with the resort. Simply, one of the best summer experiences we had to note, it’s FREE! We can’t ask for more!

Special thanks to Mr. Ruben Licera, Jr. of Pinoyworld.org, the PR of Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort for the coordination and the invitation; the warm people, staff, and management of the resort; the General Manager, Rhyz Buac and Vice President, Delia Cespon and others we’ve met for the VIP accommodation and treats.
