CBS on MagTV!

November 06, 2008- ABS-CBN CEBU’s local lifestyle Sunday show, MagTV was chasing the Cebu Bloggers Society to be part of their program’s segment about BLOGGING. Five of the members (Kevin, Rodel, Jerry, Clarence) of the group including yours truly, ahem, OQ, graciously represented in front of the camera while Erwin Lim (the host) was mesmerized on how one could earn thru blogging and how it affects the young Cebuanos and its potential to influence the consensus of the masses. Notably, Rodel confessed how he earned much while getting serious in wasting his company’s facilities! (Kidding, LOL). The interview-set transpired in Figaro Coffee Company’s (where CBS usually hang-out) canopy area in the Walk, IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City. More photos here.

 

 

1, 2, 3, ready, roll the camera, and the host starts shooting questions that we delightfully answered. Cut! And those minutes of fame is over! But it was worth it. CBS had gone quite far this time in terms of public existence. We conquered the airwaves, now, tv, what’s next? Contact US!

Twilight:

I just finished reading a pdf file online of the best-selling book, TWILIGHT by Stephanie Meyer as a makeshift (thirsty to read it!) this time. I’ve been prowling around the stalls of the National Bookstore in Ayala and SM but her books are sold out! So, why not use the internet to satisfy my cravings! Want the link? I’m startled that the author stumbled on our mythical vampire, DANAG when her main character, Isabella “Bella” Swan tried to do online research on of course, vampires! That’s why, Filipinos take pride and got crazy over her book? Just because Meyer’s mentioned it? But she could have chosen another variety of vampires as an example. Right?

The Trailer
Well, this rare story of a handsome flirty vampire (Edward Cullen) that fell in love to a human being (Bella) would definitely hoop your bloodstream while your pump machine is pampered as you read through the lines. It simply tickles me to the very root of my sensitivity. The movie to be shown is definitely a must-see! I can’t wait to see it by my very eyes! Could someone volunteer to suck blood out of me? Of course, in a most passionate way! Just kidding…

The Behind the ScenesNovember 09, 2008-

School:

Because I’m feeling scholastically frantic to push through a career that I never thought as a plan way back that misty college life, I’m forced to attend my Sunday class in CISCO at the University of Cebu (UC), Banilad. What the hell I am doing in this very FO curriculum? Am I supposed to take a masters degree in Management Accounting? I took that for 4 years in a school run by “erdams”! Duh, I’m feeling techy and serious with this stuff, reason that I wasn’t able to see the airing of our tv whoring in MagTV (see below)! Again, Clarence might be my savior so I could still scrutinize how I display in front of the camera spot! It’s not easy to be an instant celebrity! OMG, I need a convoy to protect me wherever I am now! For those who missed that show like me! Check this link!

While my CISCO instructor was discussing ip addressing, subnet masking, bit, binary, octet and all those nosebleeding stuff, I kinda persuade my mates not to listen or walk out early to EAT! Hahaha… BI as I am (that day only)! I just need a rest! Just came straight from work! What do you expect? Do I still have the libido of learning? Kill it! I’d rather read my queer friend, Chase’s blog! My international bitchy pal from Norway who is currently here in Cebu! I paid 4k just not to care what my instructor is preaching me! I’d rather quit? Get the portion of what I invest in? Duh, still confuse!

Lunch:

Seen the clock strikes 12 nn. Class ended and we headed to the terraces of Ayala hoping we could dine for lunch as my stomach is really grumbling from hunger! Too bad to note that all the food shops are full of mobs of starving faces! We see many of them patiently and impatiently waiting for their turn to sit their butt in and have some jaw exercise while lavishing those delectable menus. We meandered the area but nothing soothes our taste buds! Only option with still coveted vacant tables is My Joy! So we rushed in, took our orders and enjoyed our individual meals!

Shopping:

Ooops, Just wasted a few bucks out of my wallet! I passed-by again at Corz Gift Shoppe, drooled and enamored on a white Corz bag! Very impulsive, I bought it! My friend never even mind stopping me! I think she is not a true friend at all! Hahaha… LOL! But it’s really pretty! Don’t you think? I’m into this bag-snatching syndrome these weeks! I think I need a Psychiatrist this time! What? I’m not insane! If I am, I shouldn’t be writing this! Mind you! And may bag… wind chimes…curtains open…there!

It’s been 2 days already that I have no internet connection at home! Hate Globelines again! Sorry, but it’s just fair again to make negative reviews against your shitty and crappy service! BULL SHIT! FUCK YOU, GLOBELINES!

I’ve been calling your technical support line to report my case but you’re letting me do those troubleshooting steps that I did! Swear! Yes, I KNOW THEM VERY WELL! And what your support only knows is POWER CYCLE! Poor you! Checking modem lights?! Poor you (strike two!). Excuse me; I’m a technical support representative! I know better than you do! FUCK YOU! You gave me order numbers, reference numbers, name them all but no realizations! You promised me an outbound call from your supervisors, but didn’t get any! And you MS. JOLLY BAUTISTA, you put me on hold for seriously 15 minutes just to look for a supervisor named ANGELO! It’s not reasonable you FILIPINO bastards! FUCK YOU again! I called five times again in billing, customer service, tech support but you are all shit! To hell with you ALVARO CORTEZ! You better get fired for not entertaining me well! Another destitute Filipino service for FILIPINOS! And yes, GLOBELINES employed those crocodiles and sharks!

Furthermore, you’re Tech agents over the phone don’t sound convincing! Answering my questions in incorrect and grammatically wrong English! Forgive me, but your agents don’t know what good diction and pronunciation are! Please, what are your Quality Supports been doing? I recommend English 101 again on their training! Would you take my suggestion? I bet, you definitely SHOULD TAKE IT!

You set my expectations for a resolution within 24 to 48 hours! But it’s already my 3rd day of no internet connectivity, the set timeframe had passed the limit already! No one (Onsite tech) came or even bothered to call including your supervisors! Are you not true to your words? I’m still waiting for a supervisor named Franco Carioso to call me! Until my issue won’t be fixed by your onsite tech, I have only two words for you, GLOBELINES: FUCK YOU!!!

Again, NOTHING PERSONAL. I’m just a subscriber who has experienced this kind of service! It’s just fair enough to let you know this negation statement that I SHOULD spread among your subscribers! Just do your JOB well! Show us that you are true to what you commit for! Don’t put SHAME on your BAD reputation folks!
