Google Adsense PIN

Have you recently received from the GOOGLE team informing you that you’ll be receiving a Personal Identification Number (PIN) via standard mail (snail mail) into your mailing address? It is expected that we will be receiving it within 2-4 weeks upon receipt of the email. This also depends on your location, sometimes, it may take longer. So, be aware! And for us to be eligible for payments for our adsense accounts, we have to enter the PIN. The instructions are in the mailer itself. Well, I just received mine last night so I think I have to wait for weeks. Below is an image of the Google Mail envelope that you might be receiving.

Why do we need the PIN?

- Google wants to verify the address and the accuracy of your contact details you have registered on your account to ensure payments go straight to you.

When will Google send you a notification email?

- Right after your unpaid adsense earning balance reaches to $10 for the first time.

What if you haven’t received the mail after 3 weeks? So, you will not be able to receive payments then?

-Nope. You can always request up to 2 additional PINs . Here’s the instruction:

1. Log in to your AdSense account at https://www.google.com/adsense
2. Click the My Account tab
3. Continue to the Payment History page
4. Click the Please enter your PIN link
5. Click Request a new PIN

Note: If your mailing address has changed, make sure to update your account first with the new one.

If you are a PUBLISHER, you are given 6 months upon the original date of issue to enter the PIN. Else, Google will start to display Public Service Ads (PSAs) on your web pages if you have not entered the PIN within 4 months. So, please be careful and try to be online once you received the mail to enter the PIN. Hope this helps to those first time adsense earners.
