Cellphone use could disrupt sleep!

Since I’m working in a call center industry, sleep disruption is one of the controversial issues talked about today! But as a Tech Support Representative who works mostly on a night shift basis, balancing a healthy lifestyle could be a great challenge. As of now, I think I’m in control and is able to manage it. When I first started to adapt the graveyard shift lifestyle, it was so difficult. The sleeping habits and diet consciousness are sacrificed!

I recently read a research article featured in Inquirer.net about cellphone usage before bedtime can cause sleepless nights. That could be miserable, right?

A Swedish researcher, Bengt Arnetz, a professor of social medicine and stress research at Uppsala University, north of Stockholm spearheaded the study on the subject: Chatting on a mobile phone before bedtime makes for more restless nights.

According to the results of the study, radiation coming from mobile phones contributes to cause insomnia, headaches and concentration difficulties. There were 35 men and 36 women between the ages of 18 and 45, intermittently exposing some to 884 MHz wireless signals (equivalent to mobile phone’s released radiation). Those subjects reported to have trouble sleeping at night and reported headaches.

I can’t just imagine that could be life-threatening as well. It could be a fatal issue for us in the modern world of technology. This serves as an FYI to all of us. Hope this article helps as well.
