Sunday Treats

Posted in January 27th, 2008

One should take everyday as a special day. But it seems few people only practice it. Not even me does, no matter how I wanted to. There are always mundane days in a week. And let me think, what day should it be considered extraordinary?Actually, any day! Like for this time, it’s a Sunday! And I gave myself a palatable treat at Red Ribbon this time in Ayala Cebu.

I woke up at around 9:00 A.M. this morning. Felt quite lazy to start the day early. After packing up my beddings, I boiled water for a hot coffee drink while I paired it with some toasted sliced bread topped with Tuna spread. It was a tasty b-fast! On that same time, my phone beeps, I received a text message from my cousin. He’s coming home and he asked me what I want for lunch. I replied, “Gusto mo bola-bola and giniling w/ green peas?”
(Do you like meatballs and some sauteed ground pork w/ green peas?) An hour after, he arrived with his “sort of” girlfriend bringing along chicken and some ingredients. Well, I didn’t complained because it’s his money anyway and he took charge cooking it. I just volunteered to cook for the rice. And note, I cooked it perfectly! And what’s for lunch?Chicken afritada and sauteed shrimps! Yum, yum, yum!

We watched two hilarious movies in my other cousin’s flat screen pc after we filled our stomach with a delicious meal! First, the movie entitled, “Without a Paddle” , it is about three friends finding their way for a treasure in pursuing their childhood plans in behalf of their bereaved buddy. And next is “Blades of Glory” which is about two skaters who were rivals in their time and at some point got banned and paired up as destiny bumped them together to be a team. It’s really funny!!! Well just click on the link or why not watch the movie so you would burst out laughter too!

After that duo-movie watching, I headed to Ayala by 5 P.M. to buy some personal stuff. I was supposed to meet a work buddy who wants to borrow money from me but since he would be in at 6 P.M., we didn’t see. Simply! I went window shopping by the way. I’m not really in the mood that time as I have a bit of migraine. So I gave myself a treat with Red Ribbon’s palabok, custard cake and mango bar. Just me alone. So perfect, with my MP3 songs in my mobile phone, I was on my own. Feeling the senti-moments of single life lurking around the area with hotties passing-by wishing someday I would own one. Though I have one. hekhekhekhek. Below are two photos I took from my camera phone.

The Queer's Oracle

What’s written will be history. This mundane life of the queer has come to its epitome of metamorphosis. Each daily quest for survival is an important adventure worth to be told. The external forces also form part of the queer’s existence in the struggle to adapt to these conditions. But the inner spring of strength controls the mind, body, and soul. And now you know the secret code of the queer.
