Pit Señor! It’s Sinulog here in Cebu!
Every third sunday of the month of January is Sinulog festival ! Yeah, that date is JANUARY 20, 2008!
I’ve been here in Cebu since April. It will be my first time to witness the said event. I’m a festival virgin and much is in store for all local Cebuanos and tourists here! According to my team mates, bubble parties and rocking bands are in every corners of the city! Entertainment that is!
The Sinulog festival is a showcase of colorful and live dances in honor to the Santo Niño depicting the culture of the Cebuanos when they embraced Christianity in the time of LAPU-LAPU, the great Raha (King) in that time who defeated the Colonial aggressor, Ferdinand Magellan in the historical battle in Mactan.
I’m not a good historian. I’m in a rush right now to post this entry as I will be preparing for tonight’s Party. You know to avoid traffic along the way, got to be out early here. So, PIT SEÑOR to all of you!
